Neko-ryu Goshin Jitsu was developed by Professor of Judo (8th dan) Ernie Cates with Nakabiyashi Sensei (combative measures instructor at the Japanese Naval Academy) and Kotani Sensei (Kodokan 10th dan).

These men wanted to develop a system that stressed the fundamental core of the martial arts and principles of movement that would naturally flow into life-saving techniques.

Borrowing heavily from Jujitsu and Judo, the system these men founded -- put in the simplest terms -- works.

This style is continually being developed, principally by Porf. Cates, Moose Cates, Danny Glover and Elvin Fields.
